Build for the Underworld?
I was wondering if anyone might have any good Dervish builds made that work well in the Underworld for farming and just killing/staying alive. I've never been there yet, but I'd like to be as prepared as can be when I do go there.

i have done ok with the 130 build down there....interruption can be problem with the aataxes. I use a +energy wand and grim cesta from cities of ascalon to bring my health down to 80. Smites a really big problem that I am currently trying to figure out how to deal with them. just follow all the instructions in the build but replace Reapers Sweep with Vow of Silence to keep the Dying Nightmares from stripping your enchants.

lol.... the 130 build is a joke. it only has the possibility to work after dieing 2 or 3 times, and thats not exactly an option in the underworld.

The build works just fine. It works for Aatxes, although I haven't tried it on anything else down there, so it's basically a waste in UW...but it still works

people always talk shit before they try it....this build is no different than the 55 monk. The the enchants you carry work the same way..but instead of spell breaker you use vow of silence. and yes to works against the aataxes, you just have to look out for the interrupts. I can take out the grasping darkness fairly easy at even 130 with a scythe. The only thing thats giving me trouble as of now are the smites. You have to remember this is how builds are perfected through trial and error. No build is perfect the first time out. Also Keep in mind I never said this would work solo either. I usually bring an SS necro but I find that it works best a 3 man team (SS, R/Mo, and my Dervish). We where able to take out all the aataxes and took out the first 3 or 4 groups of smites. One of the people i was with (they where all guild members) accidentally aggroed a second group and we where over run.

It does work, i saw someone using it in an AB once, with 8 or so melee characters hopelessly hammering away at him.

not 130......80 cities of ascalon cesta off hand and a totem axe or a wand with 20% enchantments when fighting aataxes and mobs of smites and let your SS and Ranger do the work of killing them by trapping and hexing.....for grasping darknesses use a scythe of enchanting and they drop with a few hits.

The 130 build works, I use it to solo Hidden City among other places...
Just because you can't make it work, doesn't mean the rest of us can't as well.
I haven't tried bringing my dervish down to UW because I think there are better classes that can make the smite runs. If I did though, I might go with one running skill, enchantments and mystic sandstorm, the spike might be high enough to kill the smites, but I'm not really all that interested in testing it out.

Someone does runs just by using avatar of balthazar and regular farming build to just kill the grasps, then go to smites and do them with full health.

If you have an elementalist, I'd go do smite runs with that instead. The ability to agro 3-4 groups of smites (if coldfires aren't in agro) is just so awesome. Once they're all on you, AoE away. The only problem is dying nightmare which I know how to take care of in the chamber, but in ice wastes its always a good idea to check possible spawn points WITHOUT agroing anything else.
P.S. I find Smites have a higher chance of dropping ecto when you kill a whole bunch. This isn't true, this is purely my speculation.

Agreed, the 130 build is bad... you die in 15 seconds... for it to even barley work you must die at least once.

why don't people ever read my posts.........its the 130 build.......with a -50 off hand and a totem axe....130 - 50 = 80.. 10% of 80 = 8..... 8 damage per hit.
